While I was standing, I saw a good-looking young man about 20 years old was waiting for someone. I approached him and asked him whether he knew Jesus. His eyes were shining and he told me that he attended many Sunday schools when he was young because his mother took him to the church. But not any more. I asked him why he stopped going church. He told me plainly that he is gay now and asked me not to discuss the topic further. I shared with him that I talked to some friends who are gay. He insisted not to ask him why he abandoned his initial faith in G-d and became a gay. He appeared to avoid such talk and ran away when his friend called him. I saw that he went towards his boyfriends with full of joy.
Cold rain did not stop me to think of him as I knew that no sexual immorality person will be in heaven. This world is so wicked and distorted that such wonderful young men could abandon their initial faith in Jesus Christ. Sin triumphed little faith of Truth.
Obviously, the underlying obstacle of his avoiding of talking about his change hinted that he was not born as a gay boy at all. This has been a popular excuse for many gay men's sexual orientation. Indeed, from above encounter, if the young man was born as a gay, he would be open to discuss why he disbelieve the Truth.
I retreated not but kept proclaiming the good news to the scattered shoppers or pass-by people. One young man later came to me and told me that he goes to church. He told me that I was very bold on the preaching and acted like a lion. I saw his shining face and pat his shoulder and encouraged him," brother, we all ought to be like this. This is a battle, not a game or show. May the Lord bless you and keep you in this new year."
May the Lord have mercy upon all those who lost their initial faith in Truth. Amen.
